Photo: We all aspire to be special. Some of us cater constantly to our physical needs. Others are drunken in sensuousness. Some exhibit their uniqueness by their collection of material possessions. Some run to be famous while some find their worth by linking themselves to other’s fame. We all aspire to be special…little do we realize that peace has to be given up to attain all of the above.

We often shrink from “simplicity” because we consider it as a deprivation of enjoyment. That is a misconception…simplicity is never depriving one the company of one’s own Self.

The more we have in life the more empty we feel. There is no pleasure you can gain from worldly gifts.

We are all looking for something…something more…something more fulfilling…something more lasting…something more real…something more close…something more true. Are we looking for our Self?

Do you know what is the biggest blow of all blows that you will bear in life? When you realize that all you have tried to be is something other…something more special than your Self!

We are born with the truth that will one day free us. But we waste several lives in finding it.

We all think we are simple at heart. But do we realize how much complex thinking we have undergone to come to the conclusion of our simplicity?

We often feel hurt when others think of us in a negative manner. But think about it- what is pain and why do we experience it? What makes their opinion real to us? Is it maybe a deep down confession that we have made deep within that is battling with the denial of our minds?

Yes! We are all special…we are all different…we are all unique but under this cloak lies the link of truth, the “Self” that connects us as one.
